Full Job Description
- Manage the yard in relation to stock, materials requirements.
- Oversee Stock transfers between jobs / stock.
- Utilise skills and knowledge to manage stock levels and redistribute excess / stored materials to live project to the benefit of LRL
- Assist Procurement officer in management of Plant, stock and PPE
- Manage all owned and hired plant orders, off hires and damages
- Manage LRL Asset register, inspect all plant, record damages, losses and theft.
- Assist where required attending site to manage logistics, site set up and demobilisation.
- Travel to sites and suppliers to collect and delivery PPE, materials and plant.
- Improve profit margins by reducing cost and increasing value.
- Record movements by signing in and out of LRL app where required.
- Operating a 39-hour week based at the office, yard or sites. (at present working from home is not required in this role)
- Utilise Microsoft Outlook to communicate via emails and manage time in diary.
- Day to Day oversight of Yard management
- Stock levels recorded on LRL system.
- Use SharePoint and supporting documents to record, Stock, Plant, Vehicle check sheets and additional sheets as they develop.
- Input vehicles check sheets on to fast field system reporting key information and recording damages
- Assist procurement officer in ordering of all materials & plant for projects using project trackers, with a view to material being delivered on time, with quantities order and at agreed rates.
- Work closely with contracts team to plan and deliver plant and PPE to projects where required.
- Manage owned and hired plant, by creating live document to manage damages, loss and hire periods. In turn offering opinion to contracts team in how we can improve plant management.
- Undertake PAT test inspection of all electrical equipment LRL own / manage.
- Inspect all plant as required monthly, quarterly, or annually.
- Manage PPE stock and assist procurement of best value branded PPE.
- Mange relationships with suppliers PPE & plant. Form new relationships to improve quality, service, and rates.
- Liaise with site teams and assist procurement of tools, materials, plant as required in line with contracts managers authorisation.
- Reduce risk by identifying issue on material, plant, and deliveries.
- Assist in Compilation of site logistic plan including, address delivery map, point of contact, vehicle restrictions, site restrictions etc.
- Implementation of relevant parts of plan relating to the commercial department.
- Devise and invent improved processes and systems to drive continuous improvement.
· Full clean drivers licenses (held for minimum of one year).
