Full Job Description
- To deliver advice and representation on welfare benefits and generalist social welfare law in a variety of methods and venues. Including out-reach sessions across the city / conurbation
- To be responsible for producing evidence to support the monitoring officer & collate figures in accordance with the funder's requirements.
- To ensure work produced is of the highest standard.
- To ensure the confidentiality & security of all agency & client documentation &/or information.
- To ensure that clients are regularly updated as to the current situation of their cases.
- To make sure that continuing contact is maintained with the client even though a 'matter' is going through a period of inactivity for a justified reason.
- Develop & maintain positive working relationships with other providers & support agencies.
- To maintain digital files in an orderly system.
- To always maintain clear & precise communications with other members of staff.
- To take care that good working relationships with external organisations are maintained.
- To deal with routine & difficult enquires from telephone callers & clients effectively & efficiently.
- To develop support staff in order that they may possess the skills essential for continued efficiency & success. To encourage support staff in the sense of team spirit that is a necessity for the future growth & expansion of the Advice centre.
- To ensure that all stock, equipment & machinery used is maintained in a safe & secure manner & any faults reported immediately.
- To undertake any other duties as required by the Management Committee.
- To attend any training/professional development
