Full Job Description

As a Radiotherapy Support Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in providing comfort, support, and information to patients attending their appointments. Your presence will help create a welcoming atmosphere and alleviate any anxiety or concerns they may have about their treatment.
By engaging with patients, you will enhance their overall experience and contribute to reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness during what can be a challenging time., Here's what you'll be doing:
Offer a warm and reassuring presence to patients attending their appointments.
Provide information and guidance to patients regarding their appointments and procedures.
Engage in friendly conversations with patients while they are waiting and during their treatment, if desired.
Listen attentively to patients' concerns and provide empathetic support as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure patients' needs are met and any questions are addressed.

· Ability to provide reassurance and support to individuals experiencing stress or anxiety.
· Excellent communication skills
· Respect for patient confidentiality and sensitivity to their emotions.
Willingness to undertake training
