Full Job Description

As a Value Assurance Manager, you will play a crucial role within the OCIDO to ensure optimal value delivery in projects across all functional areas of BA Digital., You will ensure the BA Digital Directorate not only meets technical specifications but also delivers tangible and strategic value to the organisation by:

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to define and understand the expected value of initiatives and services in line with business goals and objectives.

  • Continuously monitoring performance against established metrics and identify and assess potential risks that may impact the realisation of value.

  • Developing and implementing a value assurance strategy that includes methodologies, processes, and tools for assessing and ensuring the delivery of value across the BA Digital Directorate, encompassing Cyber, Product, IT Ops, Data, Innovation, Architecture and Engineering.

  • Assuring the value and delivery of the BA Digital Transformation Umbrella, ensuring the leadership team are achieving agreed value OKR's/KPI's and managing Risks & Issues across the Umbrella appropriately., Clearly define and articulate the expected value and benefits of initiatives or services through collaboration with delivery squads, leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Accurately assess and report on value-related metrics and their outcome. Preparing and presenting up to C-level management.

  • Develop and drive value assurance strategies for BA Digital, ensuring projects align with strategic objectives.

  • Define, implement and operate processes, controls and a governance framework to assess, measure and monitor value and prioritisation across the organisation.

  • Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders, including managers, leadership, and team members, to ensure a shared understanding of value objectives and gather feedback to improve overall process.

  • Defining and implementing a performance governance structure to define key KPI's and OKR's to report both to the BA Management Committee and in IAG Group

  • Oversight and assurance of the BA Digital Transformation Umbrella.


  • This role may require travel and working from multiple sites/locations. Willing and able to travel to participate in meetings, workshops, and other related activities.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

  • Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or certifications specific to value management and benefits realization are desired, but not essential


  • Skills
  • Strong analytical skills to assess project benefits, identify risks and make data-driven decisions, ensuring alignment overall business goals

  • Strong knowledge of value management concepts and methodologies, including how to define, measure, and realise value from projects or initiatives.

  • Understanding of financial principles to value the financial impact of projects on overall value

  • Expertise in identifying, analysing and mitigating risks

  • Excellent analytical skills, confident in identifying, questioning and suggesting improvements to current working methods and processes where necessary for the benefit of BA Digital

  • Good attention to detail with organisational and process design skills.

  • Effective senior stakeholder management, with a proven ability of balancing and finding compromises between opposing views and opinions.

  • Business partnering, working as a valued partner with senior stakeholders across a diverse operation, delivering a value-added service to business customers.

  • Ability to recognise priorities and guide others, at various levels within the business, towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Identifies and contributes to the continual improvement of analysis capability across the organisation.

  • Fluent written and spoken English., Experience managing project or program outcomes, assessing benefits realisation or value measurement.

  • Experience in project management, business analysis, or a related field providing a foundational understanding of project lifecycles, risks, and value delivery.

  • Experience of successfully completing and influencing complex analytical assignments, and of complex problem solving

  • Strong experience of challenging, identifying and delivering process improvements

  • Evidence of delivering organisational and process design

  • Experience of operating across multiple countries and cultures is desirable, but not essential.
