Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and organised individual with a background in the Health & Social Care / Childcare sector to deliver and assess H&SC qualifications, ensuring a quality learning experience. This role involves conducting initial assessments, producing educational materials, assessing learner progress, and providing timely feedback.

Main Duties:

  • Conduct learner inductions and assessments in line with organisational policies

  • Assist learners in arranging assessment activities

  • Evaluate learner evidence against qualification requirements

  • Maintain accurate records of assessments and learner progress

  • Provide prompt and constructive feedback to learners

  • Attend standardisation and planning meetings

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity regulations

    Assessor's qualification (e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, CAVA, or equivalent)

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care / Childcare

  • NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care / Childcare or willingness to work towards within 3 months

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Children's Residential or Childcare

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Young People Supported Accommodation

  • Full driving license and access to own vehicle

  • Strong IT Skills, including Microsoft Word & Excel

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Level 2 in Safeguarding

  • Patience and supportiveness

  • Interpersonal abilities

  • Clear explanation of complex topics

  • Methodical approach to work

  • Accurate report writing and record keeping

    Work Location: Office based in Sunderland with weekly travel to the North West

  • Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, including some evening/weekend visits
