Full Job Description

The Trust are seeking a substantive specialty doctor to join the Trauma & Orthopaedic team based at Northampton General Hospital. The post holder will undertake 10 Pas and will be on an on-call 1:11 non-resident rota.

The successful candidate will work as part of a wider team delivering high quality Orthopaedic care.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate is responsible to one or more of the Orthopaedic Consultant teams and will rotate between those teams.

The duty rota consists of being on call 1:11.

The exact timetable will be subject to agreement between the hospital and the appointee.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive trauma & orthopaedic surgery services to support the consultant body. The candidate will be expected to develop a sub-speciality interest and to provide a general orthopaedic trauma service.
