Production / Operation Manager

As the Production/Operation Manager at JS Woodcraft, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our manufacturing processes to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our production facility, leading a team of skilled craftsmen, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity., Production Management:

· Plan, organize, and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization.

· Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

· Develop and maintain production metrics to track performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership:

· Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

· Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of production personnel.

· Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback to ensure alignment and engagement across the team.

Inventory Management:

· Manage inventory levels to support production schedules and meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.

· Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.

· Implement inventory control measures to prevent stock outs and minimize inventory shrinkage.

Quality Assurance:

· Establish and enforce quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and consistency.

· Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer feedback and implement solutions to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

Health and Safety Compliance:

· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

· Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

· Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

Additional Requirement

As part of the selection process, candidates will be required to present a Productivity increase strategy plan during the interview stage. This plan should outline specific initiatives and actions aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational performance.

· Qualifications in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).

· Proven experience in a production or operations management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

· Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

· Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management principles.

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the organization.
