Full Job Description

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Process Operator will work as part of the Unifibres team (deinking plant) and will be responsible for operating and improving the operational efficiency of the de-inking process. Safety is a key part of our operation and you will be expected to work to, maintain and help strengthen our safety work ethic by supporting the team in this area. You will be responsible to operate a line/machine/palletiser and support the operation for the plant according to fixed specifications and Standard Operating Procedures. As member of the shift team the Operator is responsible for the performance of the machines and equipment within the Unifibres plant.

We will provide training to understand the de-inking and effluent treatment process so experience in these areas is an advantage but not essential.

What You Will Do

Main Tasks

  • Works within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others too


  • Run the machine and watch the process and if necessary adjust according to Essity Continuous Improvement Systems. Consult with Team Leader or skilled operators if required


  • Order and prepare raw materials/or products for palletising and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures


  • Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as well as other people involved in running the machine/process


  • Maintain an optimum housekeeping situation


  • Support others in operating activities


  • Secure the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification rejecting or blocking if necessary


  • Complete all required documentation and data files during production


  • Understand the operation, what it does/how it works, perform operational tasks/jobs
