An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Improvement Analyst to join our team on Full Time, Permanent basis!

Enterprise Business Services (EBS) is undergoing a transformation re-establishing itself as a quality provider of efficient and effective services to the whole of National Grid. EBS is overhauling several end-to-end processes to deliver a quality service to its internal users (i.e., BUs) and external customers and suppliers globally.

The Global Capabilities organization will lead on topics that cut across all service lines across EBS, such as strategy, service excellence, and controls. In this role, you will work closely with Procure to Pay (P2P) team to assess existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, implement changes and ensure the smooth execution of projects.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes, workflows, and systems within assigned service line to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

  • Work with stakeholders to implement improvements effectively.

  • Help facilitate continuous improvement projects utilizing methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Agile

  • Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) and collect relevant data to measure process effectiveness.

  • Develop and manage end-to-end plans across all relevant initiatives (People, Process, Partner, and Tools), providing coverage across design, key delivery milestones (including training and communication) and metrics, and managing dependencies between initiatives and broader transformation activity.

  • Problem Resolution: Identify potential risks to delivery and drive the resolution of issues/problems with Subject Matter Experts, EPO and Delivery Teams.

    Knowledge and experience of using process improvement methodologies, e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, process mapping techniques, process analysis (8 lean wastes), and performance measurement.

  • Experience of the function in question (e.g., R2R, S2P, J2L) and/or key transformation levers (e.g., process re-design, automation)

  • Analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret data to drive insights and recommendations.

  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.

  • Proficient in using process improvement tools and software, such as process mapping software, statistical analysis tools, and project management platforms.

  • Change management experience, including driving process change and promoting organizational adoption.

    A competitive salary of £52,000 - £59,000 per annum dependent on capability and experience.
