Pricing Specialist

Due to an internal job change, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Pricing Specialist to join the Customer Service Design team. You'll be working on pre-sales activities for large Managed Services outsourcing bids.

The Customer Service Design as a team supports the sales community working on bids to deliver costed solutions and designs to customers.

The Commercial Support team resides within CSD and works to create pricing solutions for bids as well as creating other supporting commercial collateral and applying internal financial policy and rigour.

This is an exciting, varied, and challenging role that would suit somebody with curiosity, diligence, and attention to detail.

What you'll do

• Scoping and building options calculators that demonstrate the value of Computacenter's financial proposals to the customer


• Translating costed designs into the customer price sheet


• Developing tooling to assist the commercial function of bid teams and the wider CSD team


• Creating standard supporting commercial artefacts for the deal


• Establish productive networks and communicates up to, and including, management level to build and maintain relationships


• Identifying key commercial risks and opportunities


• Reading and understanding contracts and proposals and highlighting areas that are commercially risky or non-standard


• Ensuring the accuracy of all financial information submitted to the customer and reported internally


• Ensure proper consideration of all financial aspects within complex, high risk, large scale Managed Service bids


• Perform quality checks of cost and price calculations provided by other team members


• Assess and understand customers' volume and metrics requirements and understand how these relate to/affect the design and commercial proposition


• Presentation at team meetings, development and delivery of localised SME training and contribution to lessons learned.

• Maintains control and motivation under pressure and is able to meet challenging deadlines


• High level of attention to detail with ability to check and quality control your own work


• Ability to prioritise your own workload and work effectively and logically at short notice


• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with others, including closing communication loops and making sure a common understanding of the matter has been reached


• Creative thinking, specifically as it applies to interesting and eye-catching ways to solve problems and present data


• A good level of competency with Microsoft Excel and an interest and drive to learn better and more efficient ways of doing things in the application


• Good understanding of VBA coding structure.
