Full Job Description

Bridgewater PCN has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative pharmacy technician to join our primary care network. You will be based at Bridgewater Surgery but will be required to travel between all of the practice sites. This role is offered on a full time basis.
The successful candidate will benefit from this opportunity to build up strong working relationships, across our organisation, and will be actively involved in how their role evolves over time.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • developing our prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective and efficient prescribing within the PCN;

  • supporting the reception and administration teams, at our member practices, with complex medication queries;

  • supporting the GP partners on prescribing projects and cost/safety audits and actions.

    be a registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC;

  • hold a Diploma Level 3 in pharmacy services, or equivalent;

  • have strong experience in either a community pharmacy or a primary care setting;

  • be confident in analysing and presenting information to health professionals;

  • have experience of implementing and promoting cost-effective strategies; have the ability to interpret complex clinical information and present it in suitable formats, to a variety of people from professional and non-professional backgrounds.
