Full Job Description
Exceptional Care is a therapeutic children's service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17, from complex backgrounds, who display challenging behaviour and EBD. The service is an independent social care organisation with multiple residential units across the whole of the North West. The senior leadership team has been transformed to ensure the right people have oversight of the organisation.
Exceptional Care believes that consistency in care is paramount to children/young people with complex needs, to this end we are committed to developing and maintaining good communicative relationships with the child/young person.
Your Role
Reporting to the Accounts Managers, you will provide support to the finance team focusing on accuracy, quality and timeliness. This a dual role and you will be responsible for the general running of payroll services within the company, so must be diligent and have superior attention to detail. This role is
ideal for someone with experience in payroll and accounts and is looking to develop in their career.
There is scope to progress in the business and this role would allow someone to gain exposure to management accounts, budgets and forecasts once they have settled into the role.

About The Role
Role Description
Solid understanding of payroll processes, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits.
Support with purchase ledger and processing invoices
Support with credit control and processing sales invoices
Completing balance sheet reconciliations
Accruals and prepayments
Preparation and input of journals
Support petty cash management
Assisting with preparation of financial reports
Support cash flow forecasting
Assist with preparation of Management Accounts
Communicate with staff across the business and build meaningful relationships
General Support: Assisting the finance team with any other tasks or projects as needed
Previous experience of working in an accounts department is required.
Experience of nominal account reconciliations.
Experience of posting transactions into nominal ledgers.
Experience of reconciling bank accounts.
Experience of processing purchase invoices and sales invoices.
Knowledge of accounting principles.
Skills

Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Meets deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Problem solving: having the capacity to analyse problems in a logical and structured way using available information, generating innovative solutions and adapting approaches to problem-solving to achieve positive outcomes
Qualifications
Essential
- Part qualified AAT or demonstrably QBE (Qualified by Experience)
- Experience in payroll and payroll related packages
- Part Qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA /CIPFA
- Experience of utilising Bright HR, Bright Pay, Easy Log, Wagestream, Part qualified AAT or demonstrably QBE (Qualified by Experience) Experience in payroll and payroll related packages, Part Qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA /CIPFA
