Full Job Description
- Manage the front of house team in the absence of the owner, ensuring smooth daily operations and a welcoming environment for all customers.
- Provide great customer service, giving customers a warm welcome and genuine interest.
- Supervise the front of house staff, fostering a positive and professional team culture.
- Oversee daily coffee shop activities, including managing the flow of service, ensuring product quality, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Handle cashier duties, including processing transactions and managing the till.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and communicate any short supplies efficiently
- Implement and uphold health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with the bakery team to ensure timely availability of baked goods, especially our signature brownies.
- Manage online orders for Postbox Bakes, ensuring timely and accurate processing and dispatch.
Previous experience in a similar role within a coffee shop, café, or similar environment. - A passion for coffee and baked goods, with a keen eye for quality and detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to be self sufficient.
- Excellent organisational and computer skills, including proficiency with POS systems.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including, weekends, and holidays.
Spoon & Whisk is a small independently run bakery and coffee shop, known for our artisanal brownies, speciality coffees, and warm, inviting atmosphere.
