Full Job Description

To manage company operations and services of the assigned projects ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer and company requirements. In this position you will be responsible for the full operation of long-term full OFTO and Asset Management Energy projects.,

  • To ensure all aspects of the project is conducted in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures for Health, Safety, Environmental Assurance, Quality, Security and Sustainability.

  • To ensure that the highest priority is attributed to HSE requirements in compliance with company procedures including but not limited to HAZID, HAZOP and HIRA processes.

  • Following the completion of the tender handover process, lead the review of the "as sold" Cost, Time & Resource model and oversee the preparation of the project control budget and baseline project schedule.

  • To ensure that the assigned project is executed in compliance with the Product Line Integrated Management System

  • To ensure that the Product Line "Management of Change" process is complied with and administered throughout the project life cycle.

  • To ensure that the Project Status Report "PSR" is administered and updated on a weekly basis focused on cost variance analysis, risk & opportunity analysis, variation orders status, invoicing status, DSO and forecast to complete.

  • To ensure weekly monitoring of project costs and value of work done against the project control budget, alert senior management of any concerns as soon as they become apparent.

  • To ensure that invoices are issued promptly in accordance with the contract and verified by the client representative as being approved for payment.

  • Liaise with the client and Product Line finance department to ensure that cash collection is achieved in accordance with the contract payment schedule and that debtor days is minimised.

  • Conduct regular reviews of the project commercial risk register and alert senior management of any concerns as soon as they become apparent.

  • Have an intimate knowledge of the contract with the ability to identify and secure variation order opportunities and implement measures to mitigate commercial risk.

  • Liaise with the Head of Contracts / assigned Contracts Manager to seek advice when compiling variation orders prior to client submission. Ensure that variation orders are administered in accordance with the Product Line level 2 DLOA.

  • Identify, establish and manage the integrated project team ensuring the required functional expertise required to deliver the project is managed effectively throughout project life.

  • Conduct and document a weekly review of the project deliverables, progress against baseline plan, and alert senior Product Line management of any concerns.

  • To ensure that the project procurement plan is reviewed and updated weekly with the project team, the review includes PO expediting with reference to the project schedule and budget.

  • Support supply chain management and the assigned project buyer with the procurement and supplier selection process in terms of cost, quality, compliance with contract specification and project schedule requirements.

  • To ensure full compliance with the Product Line delegated limit of authority "DLOA".


  • Prior to the commencement of the project execution phase, ensure that all staff, contractors, sub- contractors and associated 3rd parties are fully inducted with regards to the project scope of work and HSE control measures.

  • To ensure monitoring, tracking and reporting of all cost of poor-quality events and lessons learned throughout the project life cycle.

  • Ensure positive working relationship within project team.

  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the client.

  • To ensure the timely closure of the project including reconciliation of all PO's and issuance of the final PSR confirming the gross margin outcome and cash collection.

  • Ensure customer feedback is received from the client and lessons learned recorded.

    Solid experience of relevant industry experience within the Energy, Maritime or Transport sectors.

  • Experience working with associated departments (Cost Control, Commercial, HSEQ).
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good interpersonal, organisational, and multi-tasking skills along with experience of stake holder management.
    You will need to be an experienced Project Manager that has been involved with operation readiness, long term planning and asset management.

    Ideally you will need:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification will be advantageous.

  • Contract administration experience along with budget management experience..

  • Experience and understanding of energy availability in power generation.

  • Understanding of the UK OFTO regime

  • A degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline or business administration.
