Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Medical Directorate for a full time Band 5 Trust Medical Revalidation and Job Planning Officer. This role is crucial for our organisation to fulfil the various statutory requirements for doctors and is an important appointment for our Trust., There are three aspects to this role. The first is to ensure all Revalidation requirements for doctors in line with the GMC and NHS England are met and supporting the Responsible Officer and Revalidation Lead in decision making.

Main duties include keeping precise and accurate records of recommendations to the GMC, all due diligence around the mandatory requirements, and keeping the Trust GMC Connect account up to date. The appraisal function involves regular updating of the Trust Appraisal and Revalidation Database (SARD), organising annual appraisal rounds on SARD, and supporting all the administration involved in this.

The third aspect is providing input for the yearly Medical Job Planning with reporting, monitoring, and supporting the medical leaders who job plan. This year we are gradually moving to e-job planning on SARD, and the role involves supporting this project. Regular overlap with the Deputy CMO who manages Professional Affairs for doctors in the Trust is crucial.

The successful candidate will be organised, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. They will be experienced administrators with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package. Experience of handling confidential information is important.
