Full Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Craftsperson (Water / Mechanical) to join our facilities team at Central Middlesex University Hospital in Park Royal. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Mon to Fri.

Key Activities:

  • Reporting to the M&E Supervisor

  • To provide technical engineering support for the Hard FM Services department and carry out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities

  • To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI's

  • To manage Contractors as necessary

  • Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

    Must hold a relevant M&E trade qualification to level II (theory and practice) or equivalent, with suitable industry experience

  • Must have solid understanding of Water systems (ideally within a hospital); desirable to be a Competent Person for water systems

  • Experience in building services and competence in plumbing and water hygiene is required

  • Experience in a Healthcare environment is advantageous

  • IT Literate

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Must have a good understanding of health and safety best practice; formal training an advantage
