Full Job Description

  • Operate CNC machinery accurately and efficiently to produce components parts to the required production standards

  • Load/unload the machines, allocating materials received to internal jobs

  • Programme, set and operate machines

  • Measure components using standard measuring equipment

  • Read engineering drawings, identifying features that are being manufactured

  • Change inserts/tooling as and when necessary

  • Ensure materials are ready and by the machine when setting up a component

  • Label manufacturing parts for traceability into production

  • Keep working areas clean and tidy, carrying out routine maintenance

  • Problem solving

  • To be a part of continuous improvement, This is a level 3 Machinist apprenticeship which will delivered over a 4 year period. The apprentice will be required to attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, 2.5 days per week for the first two years as part of the training., Adams Enclosures high on the list of Approved Suppliers. Heavy investment in type testing of our enclosures and busbar systems means we are able to provide Bespoke LV Switchboard Enclosures, Motor Control Centres, Busbar Systems and customised solutions which are design verified to BS EN 61439-2:2011 We only use the highest quality materials and quality systems that conform to ISO 9001:2015. All work is undertaken to match our customers' individual quality requirements.

    EAL L3 Extended diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)

  • Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Machining) (Development Technical Knowledge)

  • City and Guilds Machining technician (1273), Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Number skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Committed, Punctual, GCSE or equivalent English, maths and science (Grade 5 and above) Essential
