Full Job Description

Do you have a good knowledge of how the entertainment industry works? Do you want to help keep children safe while they perform?

This is an extremely responsible role, in which you will undertake checks to ensure the total safety of children in entertainment. This will entail challenging the licence holder if the law on children performing has not been adhered to. You will also be required to produce a report of each inspection you undertake. The nature of the job means that you will primarily work evenings and weekends.

Educated to at least GCSE level (or equivalent), you may already be an approved chaperone, with a good knowledge of the entertainment industry and relevant legislation, and ability to interpret the law as necessary. With clear understanding of child protection issues, we are looking for word processing and report writing, organising and communication skills. You will probably have at least two years' experience working with children, ideally in an entertainment context. You will be confident challenging individuals or organisations when necessary, and delivering effective solutions.

You will be working extremely flexible hours on an 'as and when needed' basis throughout Warwickshire - so you will need to be able to travel effectively throughout the County., The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
