Full Job Description

  • Assisting the Deputy & Course Manager in ensuring the golf course is maintained to high standards in their absence

  • Supporting the Deputy & Course Manager in all aspects of course maintenance including, but not exclusively mowing, scarification, aeration, top-dressing, fertilising and chemical application.

  • Performing tasks with the minimum of supervision, undertaking duties with due care and respect of Health and Safety procedures and company policies.

  • Assisting with the maintenance of equipment and machinery, carry out minor repairs and routine maintenance as appropriate.

  • Undertaking other appropriate duties as required by the Course Manager


    • Salary will be based on 39hrs per week with weekends on a rota basis

    20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

    Staff meals are provided on a daily basis

  • 5 years' experience and minimum NVQ level 3 in sports turf management (or equivalent)

  • A good understanding of the game of golf

  • Practical green keeping skills

  • PA1, 2 and 6 spraying certificates. PA2A would be of benefit but not necessary.

  • Trained and proficient in operating and maintaining heavy and light machinery
