Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Finance Administrator to work with our friendly and professional finance team. Our Head Office is located in Abbots Leigh, within a tranquil woodland setting with plenty of free parking.

Responsibilities

Sales Ledger/Benefits

· To maintain a set of customer accounts ensuring that all invoices are raised, paid and reconciled correctly in a timely manner and that any queries are resolved accordingly

· To support the maintenance of existing benefits claims, monitor controlled bank account balances and assist as required in the payment of personal allowances

Cash Books

· To ensure that the cash books are kept up to date and that all receipts and payments are allocated correctly

· To support colleagues with entering cash book transactions onto the accounting software

· To complete regular bank reconciliations

Other Duties

· To carry out financial monitoring visits in our services and prepare reports to senior management on findings

· To support the monthly timesheet process to ensure that payroll deadlines are achieved

· To assist with the preparation of regular petty cash reconciliations and requests for bank runs

· Good general level of education, especially Maths and English

· At least two years' experience working in a similar role within a finance team

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Word

· Basic bookkeeping knowledge

· Working knowledge of a financial accounting package. Experience of working with Access Financials would be advantageous.

· Ability to manage own workload

· Willingness to work as part of a team, The ideal candidate will have previous finance administration experience with strong communication skills and exemplary attention to detail. You are motivated by deadlines and can meticulously plan your time, demonstrating good administration and organisation skills. You should have appropriate finance knowledge and experience. We are looking for someone with a conscientious personality who is keen to develop themselves.
