Full Job Description

We have a vacancy for a Part Time Facilities Coordinator within the Security team who are part of the Facilities Division, Lancaster University. The successful applicant will primarily support Lancaster University Management School but may also be asked to cover other key buildings across campus. The post is offered on a Job Share and indefinite basis. When averaged out over 12 months you will work an average 18.25 hours per week alternating between early shifts (07.00 to 14.30 Mon to Wed and 07.00 to 14.00 Thu and Fri) and late shifts (12.30 to 20.00 Mon to Wed and 13.00 to 20.00 Thu and Fri) these shifts will be shared with your Job Share opposite number. Facilities are responsible for all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, catering and general upkeep of the Estate.

You should be hard working, reliable, willing to learn and be committed to delivering excellent customer service. Security experience is not essential but desirable with experience of working in a similar environment. You should be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English and be committed to high standards, able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems. You should also have a willingness to undergo development training
