We're thrilled to announce an incredible opening for a Discrepancy Report and Stocktaking Team Manager, Reporting to the Stock Integrity Manager for stock assurance matters. As the Discrepancy Report and Stocktaking Team Manager you'll champion contract compliance and materiel accounting. You will lead a stellar team compromising of 2 direct reports and circa 28 colleagues ensuring seamless operations.,

  • Provide efficient management of all stock assurance/integrity issues on behalf of the Stock Integrity Manager in terms of the custodianship of circa 240k stocked lines with a approximate valuation of £7.6bn.

  • Managerial responsibility for the Stock Control and Discrepancy Report Teams comprising 28 posts located at mainly at Donnington with a small presence at Bicester. The primary role is delivery of Stock-taking and 100% Stock Location Check Programmes, Discrepancy Report & Write-Off management.

  • Drive performance through the implementation, management, and review of KPI data on a weekly basis to drive required output and behaviours within the department.

  • Responsible for support and input to the design, development and implementation of continuous improvement programmes and initiatives to deliver advances in stock integrity processes.

  • Identify and monitor all training requirements for the department, particularly mandated training, to ensure full compliance with business requirements.

    Knowledge of Materiel Accounting

  • Knowledge of Stock Control/Integrity procedures.

  • Ability to manage a large team and implement objectives, KPIs and continuous improvement to meet overall company and customer goals.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical eye when providing root cause analysis to implement a solution.

  • A keen interest in process improvement with experience using six sigma and lean process improvement methodologies.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
