Full Job Description

As CT Radiographer your base site will be either Pilgrim , Grantham or Lincoln Hospital and you will be rotated through the Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) within the county too. You will provide cross site cover whilst supporting the CT service across ULH, support 7 day services and out of hours coverage. You will commence as a Band 5 CT Radiographer and be uplifted to Band 6 once CT competencies and inter-personal skills signed off.

We provide radiology services to the county from 7 main hospital sites whilst currently expanding into the community through diagnostic centre to enhance patient pathways. Our facilities are well equipped. The trust has invested in DR technology, new interventional suites, State of the art Canon CTs', Siemens MRI scanners and up to date ultrasound equipment.

  • State of the art CT scanners - 2 x Canon Prime SP 160 slice with bariatric and cardiac scanning capabilities operational since March '21 at Pilgrim Hospital Boston.

  • State of the art Canon Aquilion One Prism with Advanced intelligent Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE) / Deep Learning Spectrum designed for deep intelligence (first in the region), as well as a Canon Prime SP with bariatric couch and cardiac capabilities.

    The successful candidate will be highly motivated and patient driven with an in-depth understanding of CT from a clinical and technical perspective. You may also have previous experience of line management, implementing change and low level project management.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite, you will be expected to manage your time carefully and able to prioritise conflicting demands, whilst working with a wide range of stakeholders to provide a single pan-trust service which meets the needs of our patients. You will be required to support the CT service out of hours on a rota basis.
