Carbon Manager

Reporting to the Head of Ethics and Sustainability you will You'll lead the development and execution of TWCs Climate Strategy managing energy, water, waste and product data. Analyse current performance and work with key internal and external stakeholders to make continual improvements with the necessary autonomy to drive a reduction in emissions across the business.

• Be the Subject matter expert when it comes to advising on the implementation of existing and emerging reporting frameworks.


• To advise, implement and maintain all aspects of the environmental management system, ensuring compliance with legislation, and adherence to best practice to deliver business objectives and long-term goals and strategies.


• Prepare and maintain project-specific Environment Aspects and Impacts Registers, Environmental Management Plans etc., being fully aware of the project conditions and commitments.


Collect and collate environmental performance monitoring data and participate in the production of the annual company environmental management report (relating to energy and sustainability performance and improvements)

What you'll be doing


• Oversee data collection for TWC's Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and other environmental indicators including but not limited to: waste, water, energy consumption, TWC site impacts. Produce analysis and recommendations to reduce and minimise carbon emissions including Scopes 1,2, & 3.,


• Maintain TWC's carbon monitoring platform (Achilles) and perform regular data health checks.


• Monitor, analyse and communicate performance against established environmental targets.


• Coordinate data to support sustainability reporting requirements in line with BRC guidelines including Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR).


• Produce management information reports including utilities, and sustainability performance and financial metrics and interpret into meaningful analysis.


• Support the Ethics and Sustainability manager in coordinating data to support B Corp reporting; ETI reporting and Supplier Transparency reporting (Supply Shift)


• Support the Compliance Manager, in gathering and monitoring global legislative information to assist with compliance (contractual and legal)


• Coordinate relevant Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data for inclusion in TWC's annual sustainability report.


• Training to key stakeholders on how to read/use their energy data. Manage and coordinate utilities analysis queries.


• Perform desktop studies and research of emerging Environmental trends.


• Participate in external audits, including but not limited to, ISO 14064-1 and annual report assurance.


• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Head of Sustainability


• Provide quarterly environmental performance reports for presentation to The White Company Environmental Steering Group and Operating Board of Directors
