Cafe and Farm Shop Assistant

We are looking to recruit a Cafe and Farm Shop Assistant to join our growing team here at The Granary Farm Shop and Tea Room. The successful candidate will help in the day to day running of our Farm Shop and Tea room ensuring all basic day to day tasks are carried out in a professional and timely manner. The work environment will fast paced and a large part of your role will be ensuring that all customers receive the best possible service at all times.

Role Responsibility

• You will be involved in all day to day tasks in the Tea Room and Farm Shop


• You will be involved in creating new menu items, menu development, promotions, events and seasonal lines.


• Ensure all cash & stock is kept secure and that all necessary action is taken to ensure the handover of stock & cash is done in a secure manner at the end of your shift


• Ensure the cafe is opened and closed on time and in an orderly manner being sure to adhere to all company standards, polices & procedures.


• Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly inspections from higher management


• Ensure that all standards are delivered throughout the shift to ensure complete customer satisfaction - completing all relevant checks, standards, food & health and safety checks and taking necessary remedial action or escalating as required.

• Should be able to work during business opening hours including weekends (Saturdays) and during school holidays


• Enthusiasm to execute outstanding customer service


• Positive attitude with willingness to learn


• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff at all levels


Desirable:

• Previous experience within a fast paced takeaway coffee shop / cafe environment
