Here at Cawood we are looking to hire a Business Development Manager for NRM to deliver revenue and profit growth, reporting into the Senior Business Development Manager for NRM.
This is a home based position with frequent travel to Cawood/Client sites.
The BDM will maintain and support close relationships with our customers in the realisation of a truly customer-centric business, whilst supporting and promoting new initiatives, products and services from NRM and the wider Cawood Group to return value to the business.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Account management of key customers of the division.

  • Identifying and acquiring key targets, to drive revenue growth in line with the divisional target.

  • Collaborate with business development teams within other divisions of the Cawood Scientific Group.

  • Participating in industry events to promote the services of the division and group where appropriate.

  • Contribute to the production of tender responses within the division and supporting the wider Cawood Group on such activities as and when required.

  • Attending and contributing to business development meetings.

  • Providing business / commercial / competitor reports and / or information as and when requested by commercial management.

  • Contributing to the identification and evaluation of potential acquisitions/strategic alliances.

  • Contributing to the identification of new services opportunities in existing and complementary markets.

  • Monitor market trends and activities of competitors to understand their movements, prices and strategies and feed this into

  • Working alongside the NRM customer service / business development teams to develop and maintain a sector leading team which is truly customer centric.

  • Working alongside the NRM business units operational teams to ensure delivery of agreed service levels and appropriate account management whilst maximising profitability.

  • To promote at all times the key values of the company and carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures with particular reference to health and safety, environment and equality of opportunity and diversity.

  • To achieve agreed personal and business goals.

    Commercially and financially aware.

  • Must be a "people person" with an exceptionally positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

  • A good knowledge of the Environmental and Agricultural sectors.

  • Results driven, hard-working and focussed.

  • Ability to demonstrate a positive approach to problem solving, decision making and dealing with a wide range of people including customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at a range of levels and across multiple functions with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Confident and comfortable negotiating with a variety of people.

  • Flexible and able to travel to customers in the UK and Ireland.

  • Ability to work on their own initiative and under pressure.

  • Ability to prioritise, demonstrating first class organisational skills and time management skills.

  • Competence in IT and general office skills.
