Full Job Description
To help organise the day to day running of the YMCA Charity Shops under the direction of the Retail Supervisor., To operate the tilling systems and proactively sell shop items to customers.
To offer Gift Aid to donors, labelling donations as appropriate.
Take a proactive role is sorting donations and ensuring that store rooms are kept in an orderly fashion.
To give excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
To assist in cashing up at the end of the day.
To make sure goods are priced before being put on sale and that they are displayed to their best advantage.
To ensure premises are kept clean and tidy, as per the cleaning rota and that goods are stored safely and securely.
To follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
To carry out any other duties within the scope of the post as directed by Line Manager.
Scope and Limits of Authority
The post holder is required to report anything of significance relating to their work to their Line Manager.
Essential
Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills e.g. communication
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Energy, drive and enthusiasm
Desirable
Driving licence and access to own vehicle
Computer literate
Ability to use POS system (Tills) (training provided)
Manual Handling (training provided)
Previous experience of handling cash,
- Retail sales: 1 year (required)
- customer service: 1 year (required)

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour
