Artisan baker - salary + benefits

This is a genuinely unique and very different oppurtunity to the normal "work you to the bone" bakery conditions. A really fantastic opportunity for up to two people with traditional skills and a love for creating high end products in a new and modern fitted bakery focused on traditions to join or existing team of 6.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker and head baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of delicious baked goods.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies

- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality

- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to achieve desired results

- Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

Strong knowledge of artisan bread and viennoiserie food production and preparation techniques

- Previous experience in a bakery or restaurant setting preferred

- Culinary skills with an emphasis on baking techniques

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and consistent results

- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures

- Ability to work well as part of a team
