Full Job Description
Wolverton Health Centre has an opportunity for an administrator, who has energy and drive, to join our busy, friendly, caring practice, on a part-time basis for 30 hours per week.
This will be a varied role and will include all aspects of administrative duties within a GP surgery including:
- Carrying out administrative tasks relating to patient record;
- Identify & code relevant clinical information contained in patient correspondence;
- Code or free text the clinical information on to the patient record;
- Deal with queries relating to coding.
- Monday to Friday

We would particularly welcome applications from individuals who are: - Experienced medical administrators, with excellent IT and typing skills as you will be required to use the GP surgery clinical system which is SystmOne on a daily basis;
- Adaptable and friendly, with strong administration, time management and organisational skills;
- Able to work on your own initiative and be part of a flexible team;
- Excellent communicators able to work in a confidential and discreet manner;
- Able to "think on their feet" in a busy working environment;
- Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure;
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently;
- Experience of working within the NHS or within healthcare is preferable.

Schedule:
Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
We are a 16,000+ patient practice with 5 GP partners working from a purpose-built building. We are part of Nexus MK PCN which covers 5 practices and approximately 55,000 patients.
