Full Job Description

£34,000 - £50,000 (based on 40 hours per week). Additionally, you will be entitled to an on-call allowance, and this position also offers the potential to earn quaterly bonuses based on meeting key objectives. We will be growing quickly over the next 2 years, so there is room for promotion.

As the Supported Accommodation Manager, you will take the lead in ensuring the highest standards of support and accommodation for our young people. This role encompasses more than just managing day-to-day operations; it involves championing an environment that is nurturing and safe, fostering growth, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Leading a dedicated support team, you will collaborate closely with key departments and senior management to ensure our young people receive the necessary advice, guidance, and support, to learn essential life skills and successfully transition to adulthood.,

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the homes, promoting a safe and caring environment for all young people.

  • Lead and inspire the support team, delivering supervisions, probations, and appraisals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality care delivery and adherence to regulatory guidelines and standards.

  • Work closely with the support team to develop and implement support plans and safety plans tailored to meet the needs of each young person, ensuring their well-being.

  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews of each young person's progress, working collaboratively with relevant professionals, families, and external agencies to create person centred support plans.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment within the home, promoting a sense of belonging and empowerment for the young people.

  • Plan and lead team meetings, and multidisciplinary discussions to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration with external stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.

  • Handle any crisis situations or incidents promptly and effectively, ensuring appropriate safeguarding procedures and strategies.

  • lead on the implementation of policies, procedures, and quality assurance.

  • Promote the involvement of young people in decision-making processes, actively encouraging their participation and listening to their perspectives.

  • Help to expand the business, opening up new homes around the country.

  • Developing great working relationships with local authorities and social services

  • To lead in compliance of the Ofsted requirements and the Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023 and Quality Standards therein.

  • Managing referrals and matching of young people into our service from Local Authorities in accordance with our process and policies.

  • Leadership and supervision to a team of support workers, offering guidance, training, and support to ensure the delivery of person-centred care.

  • Providing supervision, 1-2-1's and appraisals of support workers. And where relevant training and development of staff.

  • Monitoring shift notes and providing feedback to support workers that ensures they are well supported and quality standards are maintained.

  • Supporting the team to develop comprehensive risk assessments and individual support plans in collaboration with care leavers, focusing on their aspirations, strengths, and needs.

  • Supporting the team to deliver hands-on support and guidance to care leavers with daily living tasks, education, employment, and accessing community resources.

    Hold a Diploma Level 3/4 in Children, Young People, and Families practitioner.

  • Hold or be willing to work Level 5 in Children, Young People and Families Manager or be willing to undertake this.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in childrens social care, supported accommodation or similar setting.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, and best practices in supported accommodation, safeguarding and child protection.

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, families, and external stakeholders.

  • A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.

  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis.

  • Collaborating with external agencies, including local authorities, health services, and educational institutions, to coordinate comprehensive support networks and plans.

  • Monitoring the quality and safety of service provision, adhering to regulatory standards and organisational policies, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives., GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
