Full Job Description

  • This is a key role in which you will support the efficient and effective running of our Margam workshop

  • You will undertake planned and defect maint. activities for both mechanical and cryogenic systems

  • In addition, you will ensure vehicle maint. is carried out in a timely manner and is accurately recorded

  • You will be required to liaise with external maint. providers and other bodies eg DAF, ATS, Michelin

  • You will carry out the recording and allocation of all parts and their associated costs

  • Furthermore, you will minimise any vehicle downtime and react to peak demands for vehicle availability, by working in a flexible and innovative way

  • You will ensure all safety procedures are followed and will be expected to play a key role in our safety agenda Contributing and managing vehicle maint. costs, identifying areas of cost reduction

  • From time to time, you will take part in campaigns to support the Company's service

  • And finally, as part of this role you will undertake City & Guilds, NVQ's and equivalent qualifications in LGV vehicle maintenance

    You enjoy and are able to work as part of a team

  • Experience of maintenance operations with the initiative to prioritise your own workloaf

  • In addition, you are an analytical person and have an aptitude for planning and problem solving

  • You are computer literate, specifically using Office 365, Windows, Outlook , SAP

  • Also, you have a thorough knowledge of the LGV Tester's manual

  • You have experience in interacting with both external and internal customers

  • You are a naturally highly safety conscious individual

  • Furthermore, you have held a LGV Cat C + E Licence for a minimum of 3 years with no more than 3 valid penalty points

  • Holding a current ADR Licence is desirable but is not essential as this can be trained

  • You hold a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC)

  • And finally, you work with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to an all inclusive workplace
