Full Job Description

As a Technical Management Officer in our highway licensing team your primary purpose will be to prepare licenses and permits for various activity undertaken on the highway network by third parties. This will include site meetings, site inspections and from time to time offer advice to licence/permit applicants. You will also prepare invoices and carry out some financial management to ensure accurate recording of income. You will assist with the gathering of evidence for enforcement under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Highways Act 1980. Where appropriate, assist in the preparation of briefings and reports on behalf of the Team Leader. You will liaise with a number of other Council Officers, in particular the Street Works Team, Planning and Traffic Officers.

You will require effective written and oral communication skills and well-developed numeracy skills. Have excellent organisational skills and be a good team worker. You will require the ability to set and work to prescribed deadlines and targets.
