Full Job Description

  • Administrating as needed alongside the Line Manager/senior colleagues and learning support team

  • Helping to set up and improve administrative processes within the department and school as a whole

  • Manage and update information to ensure accuracy of data for reporting and evaluation purposes

  • Use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Produce correspondence (e-mail/letter/online content) and assist with (re)producing documents as required

  • Learn to accurately input data into computerised systems, databases and spreadsheets and process and retrieve data as necessary

  • Minute, produce and distribute accurate records of meetings

  • Liaise with internal and external agencies to answer queries, arrange meetings and cascade information where necessary

  • Provide support to individual managers as required

  • Prioritising urgent/ sensitive work; ensuring it is dealt with appropriately

  • Manage professional development and prioritise workload to include training time required to achieve relevant apprenticeship qualification

  • Take responsibility for completing coursework on time, maintaining up-to-date evidence for assessments and put into practice learning.

  • This role is a crucial one that sits at the heart of our learning support department. The business administrator is expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently with integrity showing a positive attitude. This role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. The business administrator is also expected to show initiative, an ability to manage priorities and their own time. They will be required to demonstrate problem solving skills, decision making and the potential for people management responsibilities.
    Skills and abilities: Effective use of ICT to support learning, ability to treat highly sensitive personal data with confidentiality, actively seek learning opportunities, good interpersonal skills including team working and communication skills., GCSE Maths and English T C/4 or above or equivalent
