Full Job Description

As Senior Project Manager, you'll be working within the Kier Transportation Rail team, supporting them in the delivery of our unique Oxford Station project. Oxford Station Phase 2 works is a truly multi-discipline station upgrade which will increase the station capacity by constructing an additional platform and associated track through the existing operational station.

Your day to day will include:

  • Line management of Package / Project Managers, Works Manager and Stakeholder Manager to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective project delivery.

  • Act as project sponsor the implementation of planning through Short Interval Control, 4-week and 12-week look ahead programmes and support the planning team with periodic contract programme updates.

  • Establish a project execution plan from inception to completion, focusing on the client requirements and KPIs for project delivery.

  • Be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and execution of specific project measures to achieve project success.

  • Managing costs and generating revenue will be a key requirement of this role and you'll manage the decision-making process by negotiating with all parties to ensure value for money.

    Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, APM or equivalent

  • Strong Project Management skills with a good understanding of Target Cost contracts

  • Detailed understanding of the CDM and health and safety legislation.
