Full Job Description
- Work (50% job share) as part of a 24/7 shift team trading and dispatching our large gas and power positions in short term markets for E.ON's integrated portfolio of customers and assets.
- Generate clearly measurable financial value through your trading activity.
- Understand and market conditions and E.ON's portfolio positions to drive profitable trading decisions against a clear P&L target
- Trade power and gas contracts in the via exchanges and with the ESO
- Form key partnerships with the Spot/Prompt and Forward Trading Teams to profitably manage the portfolio positions
- Monetise embedded flexibility within the portfolio, whether from E.ON's or customers' assets, including battery storage and Demand Side Response
- Ensure scheduling and dispatch is correctly carried out
- Steer and develop new tools and approaches to enhance trading activity.
Highly numerate with strong reasoning skills - A proven commercial focus with the drive to continually learn and improve
- Demonstrable understanding of the traded energy markets
- Advanced Excel skills
- Flexible team-centred approach
- Willingness to work in 24/7 shift rotation
- Graduate calibre
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of flexibility markets including battery storage
- Coding ability in VBA, Python or similar
