Full Job Description

  • Ensuring all IT support calls and emails are dealt with in a timely, professional and efficient manner

  • Ensuring that all IT support calls, emails and tickets are recorded accurately within the CRM/PSA system

  • Ensuring that, where appropriate, all calls are escalated through agreed channels

  • Carrying out support for client users with day-to-day IT issues

  • Set-up, install and configure PC/Laptop/tablet hardware for clients

  • Active Directory administration

  • Windows Server support and maintenance

  • Windows Desktop administration

  • Carrying out user administration and set up

  • Office 365 configuration and management

  • Router configuration and management

  • Anti-malware system management

  • Configuration and management of many other third-party applications

  • Account management support of designated clients

  • Management of team of engineers

  • Keeping yourself up to date with qualifications, certifications and knowledge.

  • Out of hours on-call requirement when necessary

  • At times, extended days as per major client project/issue requirements

  • Working with third party suppliers/vendors where necessary

  • Server/infrastructure project works and management

    The candidate would ideally be at least in their third year of working in the IT industry and looking to progress professionally with a growing MSP company.


  • Suitable candidates will understand the unique challenges of communicating technical topics to non-technical stakeholders and persons, whilst linking business benefits to solution features.

    Industry recognised qualifications such as CompTIA accreditations or Microsoft MCP / MCSE are essential for this role and candidates must have direct knowledge of common MSP tools and technologies.

    The candidate should have a can-do and professional demeanour and attitude in the workplace as well as when working with clients. Customer service and satisfaction are extremely key to this role so the candidate should be driven by providing strong customer services.,
  • Microsoft Outlook & Microsoft Exchange Administration skills

  • Microsoft Office administration

  • Knowledge of supporting/working with Windows operating systems

  • Ability to solve problems under pressure, prioritising effectively

  • Capacity to manage and work on multiple tasks at hand concurrently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent time keeping

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking

  • Knowledge of and experience with Windows Server operating systems

  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft 365 and the MS Cloud (management and administration of the 'back-end' for tasks such as new user set-ups, mailbox creations, shared mailbox management, distribution group management)

  • Knowledge of managed anti-virus/anti-malware products.

  • Experience and knowledge of layer 2 and 3 switch management

  • Experience of router setup and management.

  • Full UK Driving license and own vehicle

  • Managed BCDR solution experience and backup technologies

  • Strong cyber security general knowledge

  • Experience in working to/supporting the completion of Cyber Security Essentials, Must have at least 3 years direct experience of working for an IT Managed Service Provider. This is a MUST for this role. (deal breaker)

    This role will be varied and exciting (Nerf gun required). The candidate will have the chance to work with a plethora of different technologies and solutions and will have the opportunity to take on real business critical responsibility. The role will involve supporting clients with a multitude of different IT systems; from working with Microsoft Office applications to troubleshooting network connectivity issues.

    The candidate can expect to be dealing with all aspects 2nd and 3rd line support, both over the phone, via email and, on-site in the field. You may also be required to manage a team of engineers, related to their technical queries, projects and queues, when necessary. Using your experience to support and bolster other areas such as first line if necessary.
