The Senior Data Scientist will be joining an existing team of analysts in Academic to help develop a function that supports the strategic aims of the Cambridge University Press brand with both descriptive and predictive analytics.,

  • Implement sound technical approaches to rebuilding a comprehensive set of predictive analytics tools.

  • Drive change.

  • Deliver trusted and excellent predictive analytics.

  • Demonstrate expert application of technical tools and languages as appropriate to the analytic capabilities needed.

    As an experienced Data Scientist with evidence of your involvement in predictive analytics projects you will be able to demonstrate your proficiency in SQL and Python and the interchange between them for managing complex extract, transform and load processes. Your recent work will include extracting data from data warehouses(Redshift/Cloudera) into analytics tools and development of both forecasting and what if analysis tools. Your experience of machine learning tools, statistical and algorithmic code development and code version management will be paramount to the success of your application and so a good demonstration of recent work in this area in your application would be an advantage.
