While using your advanced technical skills to protect Worldpay from threats, you will partner with business leaders to identify risks, evaluate the effectiveness of controls, and promote continuous improvement.

About the team:

Global second line Risk team responsible for Global Commercial Risk Management which includes supporting the Commercial teams on high profile expansion and setting the company Risk appetite.

What you will be doing:

Writing new and updated existing Commercial Risk Guidelines (CRG) in-line with the CRG roadmap and owning the subject matter expert content of the guidelines. The Specialist would be responsible for the ensuring the content was up to date and accurate with relevant regulatory guidelines and/ or risk appetite statements to manage the subject of the guidelines within the guardrails set by Worldpay Risk Appetite. In addition, have the ability to manage and own escalations against the Guidelines, or Risk Appetite.

Manage a systematic, proactive process for identification, assessment and management of new and existing Products, Partners, and Strategic Initiatives throughout Worldpay to minimize unintended impact and potential costs from unmitigated business risks while enhancing customer and corporate value.

  • Ensure the strategic objectives of risk management program are met including execution of risk assessment activities, coordination of risk response and program testing and validation.

  • Review significant events and advises business owners of action steps required to prevent future recurrence.

  • Perform risk assessments related to new business initiatives across Product, Commercial, Partnerships, GeoExpansion as well as other consulting projects throughout various risk disciplines while identifying potential issues, control gaps and potential process efficiencies.

  • Document risk analysis and controls and evaluates control design and continuous control improvement.

  • Manage specific areas of exposure.

  • Execute risk assessment activities and coordinating risk response.

  • Review significant events and advise business owners, to prevent future recurrence.

  • Performing risk assessments for data protection, supplier management and enterprise risk management programs.

    Subject matter expert with 6/7 years + experience


  • Experience in Risk & Compliance (including network schemes Compliance, AML, Credit Risk, etc) specialist SME level

  • Experience of working within a payment services industry Risk and / or Compliance role(s). Familiarity with managing higher risk clients / products and understanding of complex models involving verticals such as Payfacs, crypto/ digital currency, marketplaces, gaming and gambling, products with funds disbursements, etc.

  • Leading advisory for managing Worldpay Risk Appetite with internal and external stakeholders - commercial escalations, projects and audit/ partner reviews

  • Risk assessment (Compliance and Risk)

  • Governance, Policy writing and creating control frameworks - ensuring minimum requirements are met whilst Commercial objectives are maximized with efficient / simplified path to winning the business whilst putting the customer first

  • Support manage and update GCRM Advisory Risk tools for keeping the business up to date with minimum requirements and/ or meeting monitoring requirements

  • Stakeholder management / engagement
