Personal Care Assistant

Permanent

Term Time Only

Grade 5 - Scale Points 15 - 22

Pro-rated salary £23,887 - £26,947

(Full time Equivalent - £27,803 - £31,364)

Salary will be pro-rated based on the number of hours and weeks worked per year

National Church of England Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, well organised, enthusiastic, compassionate and patient Personal Care Assistant who can work effectively as part of a team whilst providing dedicated personal care to a student and support to other students when required.

The ideal candidate will be motivated and have the knowledge of procedures to provide personal care and support to children and young people particularly for a student with significant and ongoing medical conditions. In addition, the candidate will attend to the social and personal care needs of the designated student and supervise and support students to ensure their safety and access to learning.

Establish a good relationship with students, be a role model, and aware of their needs and how to respond appropriately. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of the students and encourage other students to interact with them.

You will be expected to follow academy policies closely and display a practical knowledge of safeguarding procedures.

Previous experience of personal care work with children is essential and we will provide you with a full suite of training including an induction, safeguarding training and training specific to the needs of the student.
