Nursery Chef - Maternity Cover Whitefield

Sociable chefs hours - 730am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Mulberry Bush Nursery Group is an Outstanding provider of childcare with nurseries in Tottington, Walshaw, Whitefield, Walmersley and Dumers Lane. We are currently looking for a committed and enthusiastic nursery chef to cover a period of maternity leave at our Whitefield nursery.

You will become part of small dynamic team of nursery chefs, this offers the successful applicant support and guidance as well as the opportunity to have input into the menus and recipes created for summer and winter.

You will be responsible for ensuring that children have a nutritious balanced menu throughout the day and for managing individual children's dietary requirements. You will be required to prepare meals for around 54 children, effectively and on time on a daily basis. Knowledge of health and safety legislation, food hygiene and safe cleaning practices are essential.

You will ideally have experience of working in a nursery kitchen (or similar, such as in a care home). The successful candidate will ideally have a formal qualification in catering, however candidates without formal qualifications will be considered for the role and enrolled on an appropriate course. The successful candidate will be required to abide by our strict policy regarding safeguarding children.
