Nursery 1:1 SEN Support

At Scallywags Day Nursery in Oakham we are seeking a 1:1 SEN Support to join our team. We are looking for an individual with a passion for providing inclusive care and education, to help us deliver individual plans linked to children's specific needs.

At Scallywags we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of day care and nursery education from 6 weeks to 5 years. We recognise what an important role we play in each child's development. Most of all, we want our children to be happy, confident and secure.

As a Nursery 1:1 SEN Support, you will:

• Provide Children with a safe, secure and stimulating environment.


• Work with children with identified additional needs.


• Work closely with the settings SENCO.


• Plan, organise and implement a programme of activities in line with the EYFS framework to meet the needs of the children within their age group.


• Ensure observations/ evaluations are regularly completed and records are kept up to date.


• Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team.
  
  Hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at Level 2 or above


• Have gained experience within a nursery setting


• Experience of SEND - training can be provided


• An understanding of the EYFS


• An understanding of OFSTED policies and regulations


• Knowledge of Child Protection, Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies and procedures


• Ability to work well within a team as well as using own initiative


• Have good communication skills


In addition you will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and creative, with the commitment to provide the highest standards of childcare.
