Full Job Description

We are now looking to appoint a Night Porter, reporting to the Reception Manager, to provide a five-star guest experience through the delivery of a caring and attentive service to our visiting guests, as well as ensuring the security and health & safety of the Hotel overnight.

Your day to day;

  • Responsible for providing a high standard of guest service and welcome to ensure an exceptional guest experience

  • Ensuring full security and health & safety for the hotel and premises throughout the night

  • Checking in any late arrival guests and checking out any early departures

  • Where necessary serving refreshments to hotel residents throughout the night

  • Setting up and clearing any public areas as necessary

  • Clearing restaurant tables after any late dinners

  • Completing patrols of the hotel and premises throughout the night

  • Being knowledgeable and fully conversant with the hotel fire evacuation plans as well as understanding the fire panel operation

    You will have worked previously in a similar Night Porter role and will ideally have worked in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel. You will have the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a passionate, loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will have a strong work ethic, good timekeeping and the ability to multi-task whilst working in a pressurised environment.


  • You will be computer literate and previous experience with Rezlynx would be advantageous.

  • £13.00 per hour, depending on experience

  • Live out allowance of £3000 per year for full time hours (pro rota for part time hours)
