Joiner / Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures. working on domestic commercial and industrial properties within the midlands .

There are also general non joinery repairs and new install work ,assessing works required .

This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in various joinery techniques.

Duties:
- Measure, cut, and shape wood materials according to specifications
- Assemble and install wooden structures such as doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture
- Repair and replace damaged or worn-out wooden components
- Install roofing materials and ensure proper waterproofing
- Paint or finish wooden surfaces to enhance their appearance
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and electricians, to ensure proper installation of fixtures
- Fabricate custom-made wooden pieces based on client requirements
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform basic masonry work when necessary

Proficient in joinery techniques and woodworking principles
- Knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong carpentry skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with electrical systems for installation purposes
- Experience using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues during construction or repairs
