18 months - fixed term/secondment contract.
Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board are in the process of delivering an ambitious People Strategy alongside partners and stakeholders within the wider Integrated Care System.
A core element of that strategy is both the attraction of the next generation of care and health workforce from our local population, as well as retaining the people and skills that are currently working within it. The Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Academy plays a pivotal role in supporting delivery against those ambitions., The aims of the Academy are to:
+ To engage with young people, students (considering and undertaking pre-registration courses) and working age people as well as their respective influencers to improve interest and awareness of careers and roles in the health and social care sector.
+ To cultivate a new generation of staff across health and social care within our own area and significantly increase the number of people considering careers in the health and social care sectors.
+ To support current staff in developing their skills either in terms of mandatory training, leadership, apprenticeships or CPD., The post holder will play an important role in supporting the workforce team to develop and deliver the Health and Care Academy programme of work for Norfolk and Waveney. The post holder will support the broader workforce transformation programme in developing relationships with local stakeholder organisations from across health and social care. The postholder will look to further expand opportunities for people to access work experience and careers information relevant to the sector.
The post holder will manage and support the Academy support role in building relationships with schools and colleges and universities within our local region, developing a network of local partner institutions. This will involve organising events such as careers events, option evenings, scenario days and work experience.
In addition to this the post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating matrix working across key stakeholder organisations, working specifically with HR and People Functions as well as other workforce and related teams across health, social care and voluntary organisations. Key to this will be promoting the work of the Academy across the system and encouraging use by all members of staff within health and social care within Norfolk and Waveney.
This post will ensure that a partnership approach is effective in designing and supporting a sustainable workforce delivering the best possible care to our population. As part of this, the role requires substantial communication, advocacy and influencing skills to support delivery across a complex system.
The post-holder will have line-management responsibility for two members of staff supporting the work of the Academy in engaging with schools and colleges as well as stakeholders for the areas of apprenticeship and work experience.
The post-holder will have budgetary accountability for specified areas of work and the overall responsibility for day-to-day delivery of activities.
The post-holder will require strong analytical skills with experience of highly complex data modelling, forecasting and reporting of project performance to Senior Management with the ability to adapt software systems to meet the information needs of the organisation., The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust recognises the requirement to promote health and reduce ill-health.
