Join the dynamic Advantage Smollan (ASL) Finance Team and become an integral part of ensuring seamless, accurate, and complete month-end processes for five Nordic entities, with exciting potential for future acquisitions. Reporting directly to the Head of Group Finance Shared Services, you'll drive compliance with accounting regulations and provide vital support for key financial decisions.,

  • Ownership & Accuracy: Record, reconcile, and maintain the accuracy of transactions, collaborating closely with diverse team members.

  • Revenue Recognition: Implement controls for precise revenue recognition and guide invoicing practices.

  • Accounts Payable: Oversee smooth accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate liability recording.

  • Supplier Payments: Manage supplier payments to uphold cash flow controls and clear aged balances.

  • VAT Returns: Facilitate VAT return preparation, resolve anomalies, and ensure timely filing.

  • Payroll Accounting: Monitor payroll processes, guaranteeing accurate postings and meeting reporting standards.

  • Accruals & Prepayments: Calculate and record costs accurately within the appropriate periods.

  • Inter-company Reconciliations: Ensure comprehensive reconciliation of inter-company balances, resolving discrepancies promptly.

  • Month-End Journals: Prepare and administer essential month-end journal entries.

  • Inter-company Payments: Facilitate inter-company payments, ensuring the clearance of outstanding balances without variance.


  • Financial Reporting:
  • Monthly & Annual Reporting: Produce precise financial reports, adhering to group and regulatory guidelines.

  • Integrity & Insights: Maintain data integrity and provide insightful analysis of P&L and balance sheet variances.

  • Variance Explanations: Offer meaningful explanations for significant variances and potential issues to stakeholders.

  • BPC Uploads: Prepare local ledger data for BPC uploads, ensuring accurate reporting compliance.

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Regularly review and communicate potential risks or opportunities through balance sheet reconciliations.


  • Regulatory Compliance and Audit:
  • Statutory Accounts & Compliance: Lead the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Audit Leadership: Take charge of local entity audits, meeting deadlines and filing accounts punctually.

  • Control Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to group policies, suggesting improvements for asset protection.


  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Group Accounting, Finance Services, and FBP teams.

  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and service providers.

  • Local Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for the Local Managing Director and local team.

  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by senior management.
