Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our child protection & child in need service, for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Family Intervention Worker to join our team.

In this role, you will coordinate services and deliver evidence based interventions to families experiencing multiple and complex issues, families who are in crisis and require immediate and intensive support. The successful candidate will take a whole family approach and work across services to effect real change for families and ensure the best outcomes are achieved for children and young people.

As a Child Protection family intervention worker you will be expected to have experience of delivering focused interventions to families to meet assessed needs - you will have an understanding of the different levels of need and have a sound knowledge of child protection procedures.

As part of the team you will work flexible across 7 days (1 weekend every 8 weeks) on a rota basis working between the hours of 8am to 8pm daily. You will also be required to link closely with the out of hours services.

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with complex families and have excellent communication skills which will enable them, to undertake effective family engagement. You must also hold professional level 3 qualification in a relevant field in child care and have the ability to build and maintain relationships with professionals from a range of agencies.
