Merrylands Primary School and Nursery has an exciting opportunity for an EYFS/KS1 Sensory and Nurture Leader to join the team asap.

· have proven experience as a behaviour support worker

· support the SENCO/Inclusion Manager with identifying the needs of children with complex needs, devising individual provisions as well as monitoring, evaluating and adapting these provisions

· plan sensory therapy and sensory circuit provision

· understand child development and respond calmly to a range of situations

· have excellent interpersonal skills and work well as part of a team, as well as the ability to work independently

· have excellent literacy skills, and show initiative and commitment to improving and developing their own practice

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.

The position is for 36.25 hours per week, 8.15am to 4pm Monday to Friday (includes a 30 minute break). Term time only for 39 weeks per year (including inset days).

Salary Scale 6, Point 13 (Range 13-17), Actual starting salary £23,150 per annum (April 2024 pay rise pending), includes paid annual leave which must be taken during school closure periods.
