The Entry-Level IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to internal users, ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, including Office 365. This role requires a strong understanding of IT principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. Your core tasks and responsibilities these will include, but are not limited to:

User Support:

· Provide first-line support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively.

· Assist users with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

System Maintenance and Monitoring:

· Monitor IT systems, servers, and networks for performance and security issues, taking proactive steps to resolve or escalate as necessary.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patch management, and antivirus scans to ensure the stability and security of the IT infrastructure.

Hardware and Software Installation:

· Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment as needed.

· Install and update software applications, ensuring proper licensing and compliance with company policies.

Documentation and Training:

· Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.

· Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices for using IT equipment and software, including Office 365 applications.

IT Security:

· Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies, including user access control, data encryption, and endpoint security measures.

· Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting investigations and implementing remediation actions as needed.

Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues and implement IT projects.

· Communicate effectively with end-users and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide timely updates on IT issues and projects.

The successful candidate for this role will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and attributes

· At least 1 year of experience in a technical support role, preferably in an IT helpdesk environment.

· Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

· Basic understanding of IT security principles and best practices.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· A competitive salary of between £26,000 and £28,000 p/a (dependent on experience)

· 8% Combined Pension Contribution

· 28 days annual leave (Inc of Bank Holidays), Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
