The 19-month Level 4 Apprenticeship will cover all you need to know for this role, and we provide on the job training as well and monthly 1:1 support with your supervisor and team support . You can find out more below, We are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious, and self-motivated person to join our service and the role of Data Protection & Security Co-ordinator at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

We need a person who is flexible and resilient to support the Trust's and service aims and objectives in relation to compliance with the Data Protection legislation and Freedom of Information Act primarily but not limited too.

For example, you will be responsible and managing a caseload of various tasks and your role will be varied ranging from coordinating the Trusts responses to requests under the Freedom of Information Act, and processing Subject Access Requests / Disclosures for patients, staff, and members of the public in relation to their personal data (redacting where needed) to investigating Data Breaches to help the Trust learn and evolve.

The role goes beyond and the ability to facilitate and review assessments of data privacy, data sharing or processing agreements and provide advice and guidance on breaches of data will all organically grow as you undertake the apprenticeship and training.
