Full Job Description

We are on the lookout for a committed and experienced Contracts Manager to come and join our well-established Costs and Estimations team here in Kendal, Cumbria.

The Contracts Manager provides professional legal support services to Operations & Sales to assure timely processing of all contract reviews across the UK and Africa Caspian region, whilst at the same time mitigating risk to the business & maximizing benefits where possible., The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Review and revise standard & non-standard contract terms and conditions and agreements in accordance with company policies and legal requirements for the region

  • Responsible for negotiating contracts with customers in line with company standards and guidelines.

  • Provide legal support services to Operations and Sales teams to mitigate risks and maximise benefits for TEAM through all contracts and agreements

  • Analysis of contract customer data to support Operations & Sales in up-selling Products and Services to maximise contract potential.

  • Responsible for maintaining, organizing, and tracking contracts through approval process.

  • Responsible for pro-actively managing TEAM's contracts lifecycle management from submission to execution and storage.

  • Compile information to prepare periodic and strategic reports and maintain contract database.

  • Prepare documents and obtain authorised signatures for negotiated contracts.

  • Work closely with the Corporate legal department to enforce legal policies.

  • Collaborates with Eastern Hemisphere Commercial Team to expedite time sensitive reviews, contracts, bids, or proposals.

  • Develops and maintains reporting capability on contract lifecycle management workflow transactions and repository as required. This could include cycle times, submission rates, reporting requirements, or other data points designed to improve business process efficiency

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating contract bid proposals & tenders across the region.

  • To be flexible and carry out any duties within your skills and capabilities.

  • Liaise with customers in an approachable, friendly, and helpful manner with thorough follow up to establish good working relationships and promote healthy communications and feedback between parties.

  • Actively promote the Core Values within all work-based activities.

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Organised with an ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to deadlines

  • Must be a strong team player with a proactive, meticulous and enthusiastic approach

  • High level of computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel and Word

  • High level of reading comprehension, including legal documents and T&Cs

  • Exceptional understanding of legal principles and genuine interest in commercial, legal or business fields

  • Qualified with a degree in a relevant discipline and previous experience working in a similar role is required

  • Paralegal or Contract Administration certification preferred., Legal drafting: 1 year (required)

  • Contracts Management: 1 year (preferred)
